MARSHALL NEMER PAVILION REPORTS TO MARKET CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, MEDICAL GROUP The Director of Operations - Primary Care (Director) is a business oriented individual possessing a good working knowledge of medical office policies and procedures responsible for the daily functions of multiple clinics and multiple locations. The Director will provide professional business management to the Employed Physicians Practices by managing specific administrative functions and staff. The Director will be responsible for the administration, direction and coordination of all activities except those directly involving professional medical judgment. The Director is responsible for total practice operations and serves as the primary communication link from the clinic Practice Managers and employees regarding Practice Management information or any clinic operational, financial and personnel information, under the direction of and in coordination with the COO of Mercy Health Physicians. The Director interacts and communicates with the Physician leaders all clinical and medical information (financial and non-financial), employee issues, physician issues, marketing, new business ideas etc. The Director will comply with the mandates of required accrediting and regulatory agencies and communicates pertinent information to the members of senior management. The Director must promote good public relations for Mercy Health Physicians and Lourdes Hospital. The Director applies and implements the philosophy, goals and objectives of our Ministry. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead by example; Inspire and motivate staff to achieve organizational objectives Promote individual growth and accountability Maintain appropriate staffing levels as hiring authority for assigned practices. Ensure compliance with workplace policies, leads and directs the work of Area Managers, Practice Managers, and Practice Coordinators. Leads and directs the work of Area Managers, Practice Managers, and Practice Coordinators. Coordination of activities necessary to render compliant, quality patient care and ensure optimal access Participate in the planning and development process and possess a thorough understanding of organizational strategy Participate in establishing budgets for assigned practices.Understand cost control processes.Monitor performance progress and adherence to budget Develop proficiency in analyzing revenue cycle performance data and participate in developing processes to improve operating metrics Participate in the planning and development process and possess a thorough understanding of organizational strategy Coordination of activities necessary to render compliant, quality patient care and ensure optimal access DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS Promote patient satisfaction, safety, and commitment to CQI process Familiarity with regulatory aspects of Medicare, OSHA, HIPAA, etc MINIMUM REQUIRED
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
Experience:
Appropriate work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in an ambulatory practice setting required. PREFERRED

Experience:
5to 7 years supervisory experience in an ambulatory practice setting. Must possess a technical or clinical background in ambulatory practice management. Critical thinking and conflict resolution skills necessary to effectively resolve human, technical, operational, and/or managerial problems. Excellent computer and effective communication skills are mandatory in order to lead a diverse team. Splits time between a normal office setting and clinical office setting. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
