Description
Summary: Responsible for enhancing and improving the SRIM experience specifically in the Heartful Care for our residents and their families by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Demonstrates and promotes SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule, treating others, including residents, families, visitors, and associates, in the same way we would like to be treated.


  1. Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.


  1. Assists with ADL's, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence.


  1. Speaks to/interacts with residents at all levels of care constantly, while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.


  1. Observes and reports to supervisor daily and all changes in the resident's health and emotional well-being.


  1. Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.


  1. Responsible for initiating and participating in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.


  1. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents at all times.


  1. Performs daily general housekeeping duties following established cleaning schedules.


  1. Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.


  1. Always responds promptly and courteously to resident's requests for assistance including phone calls and requests from family members and visitors.


  1. Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.


  1. Ensures residents and/or responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community.


  1. Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families, visitors, and associates.


  1. Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits at all times.


  1. Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.


  1. Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.


  1. Knows, understands, and follows established policies and procedures in emergency situations.


  1. Responsible for being considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather. Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.


  1. Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.


  1. Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies, and procedures at all times.


  1. Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude with residents, families, visitors, associates and management at all times.


  1. Complies with attendance and call off policy.


  1. Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings.


  1. Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy at all times.


  1. Refrains from discussing resident care issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate supervisor.


  1. Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations.


  1. Assists with training of new employees.


  1. Assists in mentoring new employees.


  1. Takes the initiative in work, seeks out additional information, and offers solutions/suggestions, all without asking.


  1. Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties willingly.


  1. Provides a variety of housekeeping and/or laundry duties in maintaining the community in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.


  1. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software and electronic medical records.
Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
